Tuesday 7 December 2010 08:20 CET | News

US-based payment technology company Hypercom has received PCI-DSS certification for its SmartPayments Wynid service.

The SmartPayments Wynid service allows payment to be processed from the check-in or check-out kiosk itself, from the payment terminal at the front desk, as well as by e-payment, depending on the guests’ preferences.

The PCI DSS is a security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other protective measures. This standard is intended to help organizations protect customer account data.

Hypercom counts over 120,000 PoS using its SmartPayments Wynid service.
