Indra, Telvent select Hypercom technology for self-service ticketing in Spain

Global payment technology developer Hypercom has announced that system integrators Indra and Telvent will install over 1,000 Hypercom Artema Modular self-service card payment terminals at 293 Metro de Madrid stations.

Hypercom’s Artema Modular enables online and offline chip card payments and is compliant with EMV Level 1 and 2 requirements and it is compatible with all Visa and MasterCard transaction types, local and international e-purse, credit and debit card schemes.

In July 2009, Hypercom signed a contract with IBM for the implementation of the Artema Modular solution at one of Germanys retailers with almost 10,000 retail outlets, as part of IBMs self-checkout system in five test sales outlets in Bavaria.
