Interswitch delivers e-payment services to sustain cashless policy

Nigerian electronic transaction provider and payment processor InterSwitch is supporting Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) cashless policy with electronic payment services, namely Paydirect, Autopay, Direct Debit, Verve Card, Quickteller, Webpay and Smartgov.

According to the company, the services are aimed at assisting individuals, corporate organisations, government agencies, merchants, manufacturers and suppliers complete e-payment transaction. The Verve cards as well as MasterCard, Visa, Genesis and Freedom cards allow consumers to perform electronic payment transactions such as cash withdrawal, funds transfer and airtime top-up via the internet, ATMs and Point of Sales (POS) terminals across the country.

Autopay is a web-based online payment service, which allows corporate organisations as well as government ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) to make payments from their corporate accounts to employees and customers in the country.

Paydirect is a web-based, multi-channel service which enables organisations to receive immediate value for payments made into their accounts from any bank branch, website, ATM, mobile device and POS terminal. The Quickteller service allows customers perform airtime recharge and utility bills payment on ATMs, the internet, via mobile devices and at POS terminals.
