KBC Bank re-elects Equens for SCT processing

Financial institution KBC Bank and pan-European card and payment processor Equens have reached a new agreement on the processing of SEPA Credit Transfers (SCT).

According to the deal, Equens will process all of the SCT transactions for the branches of KBC Bank in Belgium, France, the UK and the Netherlands until 2015.

In the coming years, the number of these transactions, which accounted for more than 100 million in 2011, is expected to continue to increase.

Equens processes an annual volume of 9.9 billion payments and 4.1 billion POS and ATM transactions. The company offers pan-European market coverage from offices in four countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Finland.
