Maybank launches dedicated Islamic banking hub in Singapore

Maybank Singapore, a subsidiary of financial services provider Malayan Banking (Maybank), has made available an Islamic banking hub at its branch in Geylang Serai, a city state located in Singapore.

The initiative aims to promote the use of the company’s banking services among the majority of the Malay/Muslim businesses and communities residing within the area.The branch is set to deliver financial services to both retail and business customers.

Maybank started its Islamic banking operations in Singapore in November 2005. The bank also introduced the Syaria-compliant passbook and online savings account with ATM access. Maybank Singapore currently activates through 22 branches.
