Memento, Orbograph to deliver check fraud prevention service

Memento, a fraud management services provider for banks, has joined forces with Orbograph, a provider of recognition-centric cheque processing services, to deliver upgraded check fraud detection services to financial institutions.

As part of the agreement, Orbograph Sereno will provide a range of image analysis capabilities to the Memento Check Fraud service.

Following the integration of Orbograph Sereno, Memento will leverage a series of features including automated signature verification, check stock validation, automated endorsement analysis, preauthorized draft detection, two-signature detection, CAR style comparison and amount verification.

Memento’s Check Fraud service combines fraud detection capabilities with alert disposition. It also enables banks to identify the cause of the check fraud problem, which can include interconnected accounts, cross-channel activity and collusive crime rings. Memento’s Check Fraud service is part of Memento’s suite of enterprise fraud management services.

Memento delivers its fraud management services to financial institutions, regional banks and credit unions to enable them to combat and manage fraud.

Orbograph’s technologies are used by over 1,000 financial providing them with services, such as cheque processing automation, fraud prevention, data mining for marketing and forms processing automation services.
