The HTML-based feature gives clients the ability to conduct a series of critical actions related to trading, such as checking account balances, placing a trade and getting quotes on stock or single-leg options trades. The mobile feature was developed in-house at TradeKing. Over the coming months, TradeKing plans to introduce software applications specifically optimized for use with the BlackBerry and iPhone mobile platforms.
TradeKing clients wishing to access the new mobile offering need to set up a mobile PIN, which combined with an existing access password ensures a dual-factor of trading security from a mobile device.
Clients can also use the new mobile feature to check the status of an order, cancel an existing order, view their holdings, check their watch list and get a quote on a stock or option.
