Russia: UniCredit bank selects NCR Solidcore for APTRA to protect its ATM network

Wednesday 8 September 2010 09:50 CET | News

Russian financial services provider Unicredit Bank has signed an agreement with global technology company NCR Corporation for the latter’s Solidcore Suite for APTRA software security product.

Once deployed in Unicredits entire multivendor ATM network, the service is set to ensure protection from insider attacks by prohibiting the introduction of unauthorized code on ATMs. NCR Solidcore for APTRA allows only authorized codes to run, rather than reacting to known attacks as they arise. In addition, the ATM security software automatically creates and updates the inventory of good code and protects the systems memory so that authorized code cannot be modified, deleted or hijacked.

Established in 1989, UniCredit Bank provides banking services across the Russian market.
