Sentenial, a provider of SEPA payment services, and Dutch financial services provider ING have joined forces to launch Mandate Manager, a SEPA Direct Debit application for corporates. Mandate Manager is set to enable corporates to switch to the European Direct Debit (SEPA) with minimal change to their existing processes.

Powered by Sentenial’s SEPA payments engine, Mandate Manager includes three functional modules which cover the migration of legacy mandates into SEPA format, the ongoing creation and maintenance of mandates and the collection of funds through legacy format files. Provided on a pay-per-use basis, Mandate Manager allows customers to scale their use as SEPA adoption rates grow.

The Mandate Manager has been initially launched as a pilot program in partnership with an European oil company. The pilot included the migration of existing mandates from Belgian customers to the European Direct Debit (SEPA), customer notification and the creation of a SEPA mandate database. The pilot also included transaction processing using the existing file format.Sentenial and ING are currently rolling out versions of the service to support all Eurozone countries.

Sentenial provides direct debit processing services for the direct debit schemes and SEPA to corporate and public sector customers. The company develops and sells EuroDebit application, which enable organizations to manage their debit payments, as well as debit process, including back office reconciliation, straight through processing, risk management, online user interfaces, and reporting.
