SIA-SSB rolls out technology infrastructure for payment institutions

Monday 26 April 2010 11:51 CET | News

European payment services provider SIA-SSB has developed a technology infrastructure that includes all payment services for payment institutions.

Dubbed Payment Institutions EASY BOX, the payments platform is set to enable payment institutions to use a single gateway in order to access networks and circuits at domestic and cross-border level as well as monitor transactions. Its capabilities include application management, facility management, back office and consulting.

The service has been rolled out in SaaS (Software as a Service) mode and is available in three versions: Basic, Advanced and Full. The “Basic” version has been designed for non-bank financial intermediaries who, during the initial phase will limit themselves to upgrading the system of notifications to supervisory authorities. The “Advanced” version is aimed at payment institutions that have decided to also manage the payment accounts on which customers may carry out deposits and withdrawals. Lastly, the “Full” version incorporates the features of the previous two as well as some additional services such as collections, credit transfers and card issuing.

Created by the merger between SIA (Società Interbancaria per lAutomazione) and SSB (Società per i Servizi Bancari) in May 2007, SIA-SSB provides services and applications to financial customers in the areas of payment card processing, payments systems, capital markets and network services for connectivity and messaging.
