These new private-sector partnerships will bring more than USD 400 million in value to the US entrepreneurs, from companies like Intel, IBM, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, American Express and Intuit. Other members include the networking services provider Cisco, the consultancy company Ernst & Young, the global funding platform IndieGoGo, the software services provider Salesforce,com and the financial services provider Silicon Valley Bank.
The Startup America Partnership is set to launch a new free membership program which will enable young companies ranging from Startup (newly created), Rampup (initial growth phase) and Speedup (exponential staff and revenue growth) stages to apply for access to these resources to help them grow.
The Startup America Partnership is a movement initiated by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. It was launched on 31 January 2011 at the White House in response to President Obama’s call to accelerate entrepreneurship growth throughout the nation.
