Friday 14 November 2014 13:42 CET | News

National ITMX, a Thailand-based payment system operator, and other banks in the banking network will test the communication network of the new ATM network on 14 November 2014, which will cut short cross-border and cross-bank transactions until 2 AM on 15 November.

However, Bank of Thailand spokesman Chirathep Senivongs Na Ayudhya, has informed that customers can still use services at the machine operated by their respective banks.

He added that banks recently conducted a test rehearsal and, in case any serious problem occurs during the migration, they have agreed to switch to the old system to ensure normal service.
