US electronic payment services company VeriFone Systems has inked a contract with Turkish petroleum distributor Petline Petroleum to supply its unattended pay-at-the-pump and digital media system in Turkey.

As a result, Petline Petroleum is expected to begin implementing VeriFone’s MX760 unattended payment service at its Selfstop dispensers starting May 2011. Petline can utilize the payment system screens to display commercials and promotional videos as customers are fueling their vehicles.

The VeriFone MX760 system is designed for both outdoor and indoor unattended environments like petro, ticketing, kiosks, QSRs and ATMs. The system operates in outdoor environments with a PIN pad that is Payment Card Industry (PCI) and EMV Level 1 and Level 2 approved and uses a manual-insert card reader.

Turkey’s retail petroleum market has over 75,000 fuel dispensers.

In recent news , VeriFone Systems and payment technology company Hypercom have made a statement with regard to the civil antitrust lawsuit filed against them by the US Department of Justice (DOJ).
