UMB Bank partners ACH Alert for fraud prevention services

Thursday 18 November 2010 09:15 CET | News

Fraud detection services provider ACH Alert has won a contract from US-based financial services provider UMB Bank, a subsidiary of UMB Financial.

Under the agreement, ACH Alert will provide the bank’s customers with actionable alerts designed to prevent account-related fraudulent activity when an ACH debit is presented for payment . With the ACH Alert service, customers will be able to specify the method in which they wish to be notified, SMS text or email and the conditions that must exist to create an alert.

Once alerted, the client can login to the UMB’s web portal, view the ACH transaction and allow it to pay or return it. If desired, the client can identify transactions coming from trusted trading partners and add them to an Approved List, in order to minimize the number of unnecessary alerts they receive in the future.

UMB Financial provides banking services via its 133 subsidiaries located throughout the US.
