VeriFone completes acquisition of Hypercom

US-based electronic payment services provider VeriFone Systems has acquired payment technology company Hypercom.

In connection with the closing, VeriFone and Hypercom reached a settlement with the US Department of Justice, following which Hypercom divested its US payment systems business to The Gores Group.

VeriFone expects the acquired Hypercom business to contribute in fiscal year 2012 non-GAAP revenue of USD 350 million and non-GAAP fully diluted EPS accretion of 20 to 25 cents.

In recent news, KleinPartners Capital, a private investment company has acquired Hypercom Spain and UK, and set up a new company, dubbed Spire Payments, focused on the electronic payments sector.
