Verizon Wireless, USA Technologies team up for cashless payment services and M2M apps

US mobile carrier Verizon Wireless and wireless transactions provider USA Technologies have joined forces to deliver cashless payment services and machine-to-machine applications via USA Technologies’ ePort Connect Service.

The USA Technologies service will integrate the Verizon Wireless network for connectivity to allow wireless point-of-sale payments at vending machines via credit and debit cards. Furthermore, USA Technologies will benefit from Verizon Wireless’ Machine to Machine Management Center portal managed via nPhase, a

Verizon Wireless - Qualcomm joint venture designed to help businesses deploy and leverage M2M applications. The jointly-developed service is aimed at vending and automated retail industries.

USA Technologies has 100,000 M2M connections to their ePort Connect service. The company provides small-ticket, wireless, non-cash transaction services to businesses and industries including kiosks, hospitality, digital imaging and the vending machine industry.
Verizon delivers wireless and wireline products and services to enterprise and government customers in a variety of industries.
