ViVOtech to roll out ViVOpay 8800e payment device

US-based provider of NFC-enabled mobile payments ViVOtech has developed a new payment acceptance device for merchants, dubbed ViVOpay 8800e. The device is expected to be on display at the CARTES & Identification 2010 event in France.

The ViVOpay 8800e device includes several features, such as an EMV chip, PCI 2.1 certification and contactless NFC technology, as well as a 16 million colour HD display and tactile keypad. Thus, the device is set to enable merchant to accept EMV smart cards, contactless and magnetic-stripe cards, as well as handset-based NFC mobile payments.

The ViVOpay 8800e payment acceptance device is the newest member of the ViVOpay 8000 series. These products provide optional support for signature capture and encryption for several types of payment card transactions.
